Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Fundraiser & Blood Drive for Colin Flood

There will be a fundraiser for Colin Flood at 9:00pm on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Connolly’s Corner in Maspeth Queens.
Donations will be accepted at the door; drink specials will be available.
Colin Flood, who is 7, has been battling leukemia for the last two years. He is the son of Kevin Flood a retired firefighter from Engine 210, who served with the FDNY during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
Colin was first diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia on December 24, 2012. He received chemotherapy and then underwent a bone marrow transfusion. He had been in remission until October 2013, when unfortunately the cancer returned. Colin has been undergoing chemo and spinal taps. He will need risky liver surgery soon.
For the next few weeks, Colin needs 1-2 transfusions daily. He badly needs platelets now!
