First Wake for Retired NYPD Detective Dennis P. Murphy of the 67th Precinct’s Detective Squad

NYPD Detective Dennis P. Murphy, 57, of the 67th Precinct’s Detective Squad died on October 25, 2019 of World Trade Center-related tongue cancer.
He was a tireless fighter for the Zadroga Bill, and was the backup speaker for Luis Alvarez in case he was too ill to testify before Congress.
He will have two wakes – the first one will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, from 1:00pm to 300pm and again from 6:0pm until 8:00pm at the Alexander Funeral Home in Warrensburg, NY.
His second wake will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm and again from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at Marine Park Funeral Home in Brooklyn, NY.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 9:45am at Good Shepherd R.C. Church in Brooklyn.
His cremation will be private.
