FDNY Firefighter Robert Olsen Fundraiser – Wantagh, NY
October 9, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
A fundraiser will be held at Governor’s at Mulcahy’s Pub and Concert Hall in Wantagh, NY from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Saturday, October 9, 2021 to benefit FDNY Firefighter Robert Olsen, who has been diagnosed with advanced ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) after misdiagnoses.
Rob is a 23-year veteran of the FDNY who spent his career entirely at E-229/L-146. He served during the recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site.
Currently, neurological illnesses such as ALS are not covered by the World Trade Center Health Program, leaving Rob and his family with enormous debts, many of which are not covered by insurance.
Admission to the fundraiser costs $75.00 per person at the door. This includes an open bar of mixed drinks, beer, and wine; a buffet dinner; and live music. There will be door prizes and raffles, all for a good cause.
