FDNY 343 bike ride World Trade Center to Montauk

September 14, 2014 - September 15, 2014

On Sunday, September 14, 2014 and Monday, September 15, 2014, several FDNY members will ride bicycles from NYC to Montauk in honor of their fallen brothers.

In 2011, in observance of the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, a number of FDNY members rode their bicycles from the World Trade Center site to the Pentagon, riding a mile for each FDNY member killed in the line of duty during the attacks. This was the first FDNY 343 Ride. That ride will be duplicated every 5 years. In the intervening years, a smaller ride, from the World Trade Center to Montauk Point Lighthouse, will be made.

All funds raised go directly to wounded veterans.
