9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Exhibit – “Skywalkers: The Legacy of the Mohawk Ironworker at the World Trade Center”
February 4, 2015 - March 12, 2015
An exhibit entitled Skywalkers: The Legacy of the Mohawk Ironworker at the World Trade Center that runs from Wednesday, February 4, 2015 through Thursday, March 12, 2015 will show tintype portraits of Mohawk ironworkers who worked in the recovery effort after the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and who are constructing the new World Trade Center buildings.
Artist Melissa Cacciola created the portraits using the nineteenth-century tintype technique, using antique lenses and handmade film.
