9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Detective Brian ‘Smiles’ Simonsen Memorial Foundation Fundraiser

The Detective Brian ‘Smiles’ Simonsen Memorial Foundation will hold their first fundraiser from 4:30pm until 8:30pm on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at the Inn at East Wind in Wading River, NY. A buffet dinner, open bar, and DJ are planned for the evening.
NYPD Detective Simonsen, 42, a 19-year veteran of the department, was killed in the line of duty on February 12, 2019. The new foundation in his honor will award a memorial scholarship to a graduating Riverhead High School baseball player, beginning this year.
