Course – The Long History of Terrorism in New York City, Part 2

April 8, 2021 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

A new seminar from Gotham Ed in April 2021 will explore the history of terrorism in New York City with David Viola, Adjunct Professor at the Center for Terrorism at John Jay College and former Naval intelligence officer.

The course begins during the Civil War, with a look at the Confederate plot to burn the city that was stopped by a Union spy.

The seminar continues with the anarchist and political bombings of the twentieth century.

Finally, the course will discuss the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and those NYC terrorist attacks post-9/11.

The talks will also discuss why New York has so often been targeted by terrorists.

The course costs $125.00 for the three sessions, which will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, 6:30-8:00pm; Thursday, April 8, 2021, 6:30-8:00pm; and Tuesday, April 13, 2021, 6:30-8:00pm. (All times are ET.)
