9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Complete halt of all planes on the ground at Logan Airport

On the morning of September 11, 2016, all aircraft on the ground at Logan will come to a complete stop for a minute at 8:46am to pay tribute to those killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
The first two planes originated at Logan Airport. American Flight 11, the first plane to be hijacked on that day, was flown into the north tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46am.
