9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Benefit gala for the fireboat John J. Harvey

There will be a gala to raise funds to benefit the fireboat John J. Harvey at 6:30pm on Monday, November 4, 2013 at India House in Lower Manhattan. Attire is festive.
The John J. Harvey has been offered a one-time-only matching grant of $165,955 by Federal Save Our Treasures. If $165,955 is not raised by the end of 2013 to match the grant, it will be gone. In order to match the grant, $50,000 must be raised by the end of the year.

On September 11, 2001, retired 1931 fireboat John J. Harvey was put into service to respond to the terrorist attacks. Along with other FDNY fireboats she pumped water for 80 hours, until the water mains destroyed in the collapse of the towers were restored.
