9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Arlington Historical Society 9/11 Essay Contest for Grades 8-12

The Arlington Historical Society and Cherrydale Columbia Lodge 42 again will hold the Arlington Historical Essay Contest. Essays must be submitted by Friday, May 21, 2021.

Students in grades 8-12 will write an essay on the question “How did the 9/11 attack affect Arlington? As a community, are we successfully remembering and memorializing the day?”

Cash prizes will be awarded, and the winning essay will be published in the Arlington Historical Magazine.
