9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. A Night for Luis Alvarez – Candlelight Vigil – PLEASE NOTE THE DATE

A candlelight vigil will be held for beloved NYPD Officer Luis Alvarez, who fought valiantly for the reauthorization of H.R.1327 – Never Forget the Heroes: James Zadroga, Ray Pfeifer and Luis Alvarez Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act.
Luis died shortly after testifying before Congress about his site-related cancer this summer.
The vigil in his honor will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019, at 6:15pm at Schoolhouse Green in Oceanside with an after-party at EGP Oceanside, where glasses will be raised in Luis’ honor.
