9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Union City will hold its 9/11 memorial ceremony at 9:00am on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at its 9/11 Memorial at Liberty Plaza at 30th Street and Palisade Avenue.
Three Union City residents were killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. They were Gary Bright, Jorge Luis Leon, and Alejo Perez.
