9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Ladder 5 Cross Country Challenge & FF Lou Arena Children’s Fun Run

The Ladder 5 Cross-Country Challenge will be held in Wolfe’s Pond Park on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 12:00pm. The run pays tribute to members of FDNY Ladder 5 who were murdered in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and who were killed at the Deutsche Bank on August 18, 2007.
Details are not available this year – in prior years there have been children’s activities, rides, the FF Lou Arena Children’s Fun Run/Obstacle Course, live music, FDNY & NYPD displays and a barbeque.
All funds benefit the FF Thomas R. Elsasser Fund, which helps families of firefighters who die out of the line of duty.
