9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Retired NYPD Captain Joseph J. Panarese died of World Trade Center-related illness on January 7, 2022. He was 60.
His wake will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and again from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the Branch Funeral Home in Smithtown, NY.
A funeral Mass will be said at St. Patrick’s R C Church in Smithtown on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 9:45am.
