9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for retired FDNY Lt. Thomas Nixon – Point Pleasant, NJ

Retired FDNY Lt. Thomas Nixon died on May 22, 2021 at the age of 80.
In addition to his FDNY career, he was a union plumber. He served the FDNY for 23 years, beginning his career at Engine 15, retiring out of Ladder 85. He was already retired in 2001, but still responded to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
Tom played the bagpipes with the Staten Island Piper Band and St. Brendan’s Pipes.
His funeral will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 28, 2021 at St. Martha Roman Catholic Church in Port Pleasant.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the FF Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or to your local firehouse.
