Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Giavanna Gardella, the teenaged daughter of retired NYPD Sgt. Craig Gardella, died recently of Hodgkin’s anaplastic large cell lymphoma, leaving her family not only devastated, but facing astronomical medical bills.
Sgt. Gardella’s former colleagues are holding a fundraiser to help the family with the bills on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 6:30pm to 10:30pm at Billy’s Bar in the Bronx.
An entrance fee of $75.00 per person will include an open bar, buffet, raffles, and a DJ. All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the Gardella family. To buy tickets via Paypal, please contact Al Materasso at alfredmaterasso@gmail.com. Please include your full name and a contact number.
