Wake for NYPD Officer Scott Blackshaw (ret.)

Retired NYPD Officer Scott Blackshaw, who spent many hours at the site of the former World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 died at his home on May 20, 2018 after a long fight against esophageal and brain cancers and leptomeningeal carcinomatosis caused by 9/11 toxins. He was 52.
Officer Blackshaw joined the NYPD in 1990 and was with the 13 Precinct at the time of the terrorist attacks.
His wake will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at M.A. Connell Funeral Home in Huntington, NY.
Officer Blackshaw’s funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Church in East Northport on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 10:45am.
