9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for retired FDNY Firefighter Keith R. Young, TL-158

Retired Firefighter Keith R. Young (L-56/TL-158) has died of site-related brain cancer at the age of 53.
He spent 18 years with the FDNY, spent time at the recovery efforts at the World Trade Center, wrote a cookbook, Cooking with the Firehouse Chef, and won a number of cooking competitions, including a chicken cacciatore cook-off against celebrity chef Bobby Flay.
Keith Young’s wife died of breast cancer in 2012. They have three children.
There will be no wake.
His funeral will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at St. Frances de Chantal Roman Catholic Church in Wantagh, NY.
