9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Fundraiser for FDNY Captain Mike Lyons

FDNY Captain Mike Lyons, a 19-year veteran of the department who is still active, has been diagnosed with an extremely rare melanoma of the lungs, caused by his extensive time at the recovery operation at the World Trade Center site.
Conventional treatments have been unsuccessful against this aggressive cancer, so the Lyons family has turned to an alternative treatment method, which is very expensive.
To raise funds for Mike’s treatment, there will be a Chinese auction fundraiser on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 2:00pm until 10:00pm at the Dix Hills Fire Department in Dix Hills Long Island. An entry fee of $30.00 gets you beer and a buffet of food. There will be a Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle as well.
Donations of prizes for the auction are needed, as well as food and/or beverages for the event. If you can help, please contact Marc Victorio at MikeLyonsFund@gmail.com.
Mike was assigned to E-228, rotated E-59 and L-153 and transferred to L-148. He was a lieutenant in Division 6 and Ladder 30. As captain, he is assigned to D-15.
