9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Detective Joe Lemm Memorial Basketball Game

The Detective Joe Lemm Memorial Basketball Game will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, May 6, 2016 at St. John’s Carnesecca Arena to honor Det. Lemm, raise funds for his family and to show appreciation for the NYPD. Lemm’s daughter Brooke will perform the national anthem.
Detective Joseph Lemm was a decorated 15-year NYPD veteran. He spent the last five years of his career working on the Bronx Warrants Squad. His fellow cops gave him the nickname “Superman”. His career included 427 arrests.He worked the recovery effort after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Det. Lemm also served as a technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard.
Lemm, 45, had a wife, Christine, and two children, Brooke and Ryan. The 6’5” Lemm loved basketball and played for the NYPD team.
Lemm and five other service members in his patrol were killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan four days before Christmas 2015.
Lower-level tickets cost $20.00 and upper-level tickets cost $15.00. All proceeds will benefit the Joseph G. Lemm Memorial Fund. Tickets can be purchased here or here.
After the game, join the after-party at O’Neill’s — $25.00 cover charge; 2-hour open bar from 11:00pm to 1:00am. Just say you’re there for Joe.
