9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for NYPD Detective Joseph E. Redican (ret.)

Retired NYPD Detective Joseph E. Redican died on Monday, March 2, 2015. He is a survivor of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and evacuated many people to safety that day. He also worked at the site during the recovery effort.
His wake will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Home in Wantagh.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 10:45am at St. Frances de Chantal R.C. Church in Wantagh. Private cremation will follow the funeral.
