9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. National Day of Service and Remembrance letter-writing campaign, Carmel, NY

Putnam County residents are invited to mark the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by participating in the September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance and writing thank-you letters to our military, firefighters, police officers and emergency medical personnel.

Letters will be written on Thursday, September 11, 2014 between 2:00pm to 5:00pm at the Cornerstone Park Building in Carmel. Cards and postage will be free to letter writers, courtesy of the Putnam County Communities That Care Coalition.

The VetCorps Project, Putnam County Communities That Care Coalition and Putnam County Office of Veterans Services are the sponsors of the letter-writing campaign.
