Brooke Jackman Foundation Read-a-thon
September 6, 2014
On Saturday, September 6, 2014, at a time to be announced, the Brooke Jackman Foundation will host their fifth Annual Brooke Jackman Foundation Read-a-thon to help make the magic of literacy and the love of books a reality for disadvantaged children in New York. The Read-a-thon will be held at Barnes & Noble Tribeca in Manhattan.
The free, public annual Read-a-thon is one of Brooke Jackman Foundation’s key events of the year. It gives families from all over the New York area a chance to celebrate the power and thrill of literacy.
Brooke Jackman was 23 and working for Cantor Fitzgerald atop the World Trade Center’s Tower 1 on September 11, 2001. An avid reader, she planned to become a social worker and work with children’s literacy.
