9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The Shirley Fiterman Art Center at Borough of Manhattan Community College in Lower Manhattan is hosting Top of the World, an exhibit on the rebuilding of the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks. Wethersfield, CT has lit Christmas Eve luminarias for 39 years. Again this year, the Keane Foundation is selling luminaria kits to make it easy to participate in this beautiful tradition. Kits include a 14-hour candle, special bag, and instructions. Each kit is $1.50. All funds raised will support the Keane Foundation 9/11 Memorial Sports Center, which honors Richard “Dick” Keane, who was killed in the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001 in Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. The Navy will then send an invitation to those who have made an RSVP. After receiving a Naval invitation, attendees will need to RSVP to the Navy to receive a ticket. Tickets are free.
