9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Yoga for Peace, Hope, and Remembrance – NYC

$30.00Please come to an evening of yoga at the Elevated Acre on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 to celebrate those lost in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, honor our troops, and shift into a place of peace and hope on the eve of the twelfth anniversary.
The evening’s yoga will be led by Denise Olsen. Denise is the widow of Firefighter Jeffrey Olsen, who was killed on September 11, 2001. She is the yoga instructor for the Military Wellness Program at Holliswood Hospital and the Family Reintegration Program funded by Hope for the Warriors®. She is a 200-hr. YA – RYT and RN.
Please bring your own mat.
Elevated Acre is a lovely rooftop space overlooking the East River. There is grass and a beautiful public space.
Registration begins at 6:30pm on September 10, 2013; yoga will begin at 7:00pm.
The fee to participate is $30.00. Proceeds from the event will benefit Hope for the Warriors®, a non-profit that enhances quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.
