9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. February 14, 2018 is World Cholangiocarcinoma Day.
Cholangiocarcinoma is a devastating cancer of the bile ducts of the liver. Very little research has been done on this rare cancer, and few treatment options are available.
Many rare cancers are devastating the September 11th community. Last year, cholangiocarcinoma took the life of beloved FDNY Firefighter Joe O’Toole.
