9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake & Memorial Service for Probationary FF Norman Zuniga

Norman Zuniga was in the FDNY Academy when he was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. He went on medical leave, and was never able to complete his training. He died on June 1, 2021 at the age of 37.
The wake will be held from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the Papavera Funeral Home in Maspeth NY. A memorial service will be held there from 7:00pm until 8:00pm.
Since he was never assigned to a company, the FDNY requests that available members, if possible, attend the wake and memorial service to give FF Zuniga a proper send-off.
