9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Wake for NYPD Detective Steven McDonald

NYPD Detective Steven McDonald, who was made quadriplegic in 1986 in a line of duty shooting, has died at the age of 59.
McDonald has been an NYPD legend, leading the Father Mychal Judge Walk annually in his breath-powered wheelchair, forgiving the teenager who shot him, and continuing his career in the NYPD despite his injuries.
His viewing will take place at the St. Agnes Parish Center in Rockville Centre from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017.
His funeral will be held at 9:30am on Friday, January 13, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
