9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Retired FDNY FF Steven D. Sosa of Engine 156 died on February 28, 2020. He was 62.
“Steve-O” was a 32-year veteran of the FDNY, working at E-253, L-83, and E-156.
His wake will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at the Matthew Funeral Home on Staten Island.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Teresa Roman Catholic Church, also on Staten Island at 10:45 on Friday, March 6, 2020.
Private interment will follow the funeral.
