9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. NYPD Highway Police Officer Daniel Sanchez died of COVID-19 on January 19, 2022 at the age of 47.
His wake will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at the Colonial Funeral Home on Staten Island.
His funeral will take place at 8:00am on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the International Christian Center on Staten Island with burial to follow at Oceanview Cemetery.
