9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Wake for John Sorrentino, lower Manhattan pizzeria owner, who helped people escaping the Towers on 9/11

John Sorrentino has died at age 73.
On September 11, 2001, his Maiden Lane pizzeria became a place where people could get water, food, and shelter from the nearby terrorist attacks.
His wake will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm and again from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, at Matthew Funeral Home in Willowbrook, Staten Island.
His funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 13 at St. Teresa’s R.C. Church on Staten Island at 10:45am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Pleasant Plains, Staten Island.
