Wake for FDNY Firefighter Casey Edward Skudin, L-137

Decorated FDNY Firefighter Casey Edward Skudin of Ladder 137 was killed in an accident when a tree branch fell on his car while he was vacationing with his family. He was 45.
His wake will be held at Towers Funeral Home in Oceanside on Thursday, June 23, 2022 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. The Skudin family requests that mourners do not wear black to either wake or funeral.
The FDNY Ceremonial Unit will hold a ceremony and funeral for FF Skudin Towers Funeral Home at 11:00am on Friday, June 24, 2022. A private funeral will be held at a local crematory. The Skudin family requests that mourners do not wear black.
In lieu of flowers, the Skudin family requests donations be made in memory of Firefighter Casey E. Skudin to either www.Vetsolutions.org or the Firefighter Casey E. Skudin Children’s Scholarship Fund. Donations to the scholarship fund can be mailed to the FDNY Foundation, 9 MetroTech Center, Room 5E-10, Brooklyn, NY 11201 or donate online here.
Because of his love of the ocean, FF Skudin’s family and friends will hold a paddle-out off Lido Beach on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at 9:00am.
