9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for active-duty FDNY EMT Thomas C. Akerberg, Jr.

Active-duty FDNY EMT Thomas C. Akerberg, Jr., an 18-year veteran of the FDNY, died on February 2, 2021.
EMT Akerberg comes from an FDNY family — his father, Thomas Akerberg, Sr. is retired from E-58, and his brother Eric retired from L-127.
His wake will be held from 3:00pm until 6:00pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Clayton Funeral Home in Kings Park, NY.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St Joseph’s Church in Kings Park, NY on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at 10:30am.
A private burial will follow.
