9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for FDNY Lt. Daniel J. Phelan, retired

Beloved Tribute Center docent and September 11th family member Daniel Phelan has died. Danny had a long career with the FDNY, retiring from Engine 217 as a lieutenant.
Danny and his wife Helene lost their son, FDNY Lieutenant Kenneth Phelan in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
His wake will be held on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the Hess Miller Funeral Home in Maspeth, Queens.
Danny’s funeral Mass will take place at 10:45am on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Hope Church in Middle Village.
Interment at St. John Cemetery will follow the Mass.
