9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Voices of September 11th Symposium – Promoting Resilience in Communities Impacted by Trauma

Our friends at Voices of September 11th will host their Center of Excellence for Community Resilience New Jersey Symposium on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 8:30am to 4:00pm at the Rutgers University, Livingston Campus Student Center in Piscataway, NJ. This year’s title is Promoting Resilience in Communities Impacted by Trauma.
9/11 families, survivors and rescue & recovery workers attend for free. The Symposium fee for professionals is $75.00. 6 Clinical CEU Credits: $50 (NY, NJ, CT, PA). Students may attend for $25.00.Exhibitor tables are available for a fee of $100.00 each.

Topics will include Identifying the Long-Term Needs of the 9/11 Community: Promoting Resiliency in Families, Responders and Survivors; Strategies for Coping with Secondary Traumatic Stress after a Disaster;Learning to Apply the Brakes Before Accelerating: Emotion Regulation to Reduce the Effects of Trauma; Reauthorization of the Zadroga Act: Persisting Trends in Physical and Mental Health Treatment; Children’s Grief Across the Life Cycle: Fostering Resiliency; and Working with First Responders Exposed to Trauma.
9/11 families, responders, survivors and their families, mental health and public health providers, emergency managers and law enforcement professionals working with victims’ families, responders and survivors are encouraged to attend.
