Tuesday’s Children volunteer opportunity for September 11th community
April 6, 2017 @ 8:00 am - April 10, 2017 @ 5:00 pm
Our friends at Tuesday’s Children have a one-time-only volunteer opportunity for members of the September 11th community. You would be needed on Thursday, April 27, 2017.
Their largest program, Take Our Children to Work Day, will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2017 in New York City, Washington DC, Boston, and Jacksonville, Florida. Take Our Children to Work Day offers a unique opportunity for children impacted by terrorism and war to participate in a valuable workplace experience that allows them to envision their future through a practical, hands-on work day in an industry of interest to them.
Tuesday’s Children are looking for 13 chaperones who can spend either the morning or the entire day with their kids. Chaperones will accompany a group of children to and from their assigned placements, and remain at the placement for the duration of the program. Chaperones will need to meet at Morgan Stanley’s office at 1585 Broadway at 8:15am on Thursday, April 27, 2017 to meet their groups. Breakfast will be provided.
Please note that there are no openings for more children to participate at this time. They are looking only for chaperones.
If you are interested in chaperoning, please email Tatiana Di Paola at Tatiana@tuesdayschildren.org or call 212-332-2980 by Monday, April 10, 2017.
