9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Thyroid Cancer Screenings

Staten Island is offering free thyroid cancer screenings at Borough Hall from 10:00am until 1:30pm on Thursday, November 8, 2018.
The first 50 screenings will be free.
Thyroid cancer is one of the top 5 cancers among World Trade Center recovery workers.
In many cases, physicians cannot feel a cancerous nodule, but they can be detected through ultrasound screenings. The survival rate of thyroid cancer is very high when the cancer is found in early stages.
