9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Rockaway Irish Boys’ 9th Annual Charity Golf Outing honouring Charlie Heeran

$80The Rockaway Irish Boys (RIBS) will hold the 9th annual Charity Golf Outing at the Riis Park Pitch & Putt in the Rockaways on Friday, June 29, 2012. Registration begins at 8:00am and there will be two shotgun starts – at 8:30am and 12:30pm.
$80.00 a person gets you all the fun – golf, dinner and DJ — and supports a great cause.
The RIBS Golf Outing honours the memories of Charlie Heeran, who was murdered at age 23 while working at Cantor Fizgerald in the World Trade Center; of his close friend Chris Lawler, who was killed on the ground in the November 2001 plane crash in Belle Harbour; and of Michael Glover, their friend, who joined the Marines after Charlie’s death and was killed in 2006 fighting for our country in Iraq.
Funds raised support the RIBS various charity work in the Rockaways, including the annual food drive.
