9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. The 34th Annual FDNY Turkey Trot 5-K now for Sandy relief

The 2012 FDNY Turkey Trot 5-K will be hosted by E-233 L-176 and Field Comm on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Flushing Meadows – Corona Park. Registration begins at 10:30am; and the race begins at 11:30am. Meet at the Meadow Lake Boat House.
Pre-registration fee $20.00 (if your check is received before Monday, Nov. 5, you are guaranteed a shirt)
Race day fee: $25.00 (Shirt not guaranteed)
FDNY retirees: $15.00
Race sponsorship: $125.00 includes sign and golf shirt.

All monies raised from this event go to FDNY charities or Fire Department families with an illness or untimely death. This year, funds raised will go to the many FDNY members who lost their homes in Hurricane Sandy.

Food and refreshments will be served. Runners must follow Parks Department rules, no open containers – use cups, and no parking on grass.
Turkeys will be awarded to the top three finishers. The Turkey Award goes to the last place finisher. Plaques will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places for Men, Women and Teams (4 runners from the same firehouse); for “Best Parent” (parent running with a stroller) and “Senior Man” (over 55)
