9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Jimmy Straine Invitational

The 18th annual Jimmy Straine Invitational will be held at New Jersey National Golf Club on Monday, June 17, 2019.
Golf will be played in scramble format.
The schedule for this year – 11:30am Registration and lunch on the terrace
12:45pm Head for your cart for the 1:00pm shotgun start
The cocktail reception and silent auction follows golf at 6:00pm with dinner at 7:00pm; awards and raffles are distributed at 7:30pm.

All funds raised benefit the James J. Straine Memorial Scholarship awarded to a graduating senior from Jimmy’s alma mater, Watchung Hills Regional High School. This year, the fund will again make a donation to Stephy’s Place, a support center for grief and loss in Red Bank, NJ. Stephy’s Place was founded by Sheila Martello, whose husband, James Martello, was also killed in the 9/11 attacks. Charities supported by the fund honoring Jimmy can be found here.
James “Jimmy” Straine was 36 years old, a devoted husband and the father of a 2-year-old son and a 6-day-old son when he was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 while working at Cantor Fitzgerald Securities in the World Trade Center.
