Throughout the month of November, test a mattress at any Morris Furniture Company branch in Dayton, Ohio and the company will make a donation to Secret Smiles of Dayton. No purchase necessary. Details here.
Secret Smiles Inc. was originally founded in 1999 in New York City by Kristy Irvine-Ryan and two of her coworkers. The three young women secretly bought household necessities and furniture for a number of families in need.
On September 11, 2001, Kristy Irvine-Ryan was killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center while working as a vice president of Sandler O’Neill and Partners in the South Tower. One of Kristy’s sisters, Tracy Janess of Dayton, created Secret Smiles of Dayton in Kristy’s memory. Secret Smiles provides Dayton’s underprivileged children with beds and bedding.
