9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Adopting Cutting-Edge Radio Accountability Technology

Please join the Christian Regenhard Center for Emergency Response Studies on Tuesday, April 16 2013 at 1:30pm for a discussion entitled Innovation in Local Public Safety: Adopting Cutting-Edge Radio Accountability Technology in a Mid-Sized Agency.

The speaker will be Capt. Barry Nechis, of the Office of Emergency Management and Emergency Medical Services, New Rochelle Fire Department.

Capt. Nechis will discuss the adoption of advanced radio technology for creating a real-time emergency scene accountability system. The process of selecting a technology, implementing the technology, and training staff will be discussed. Observations about the scalability of the system to other nearby agencies will also be discussed.
