Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Sussex County Remembrance Ceremony – Newton, NJ

A ceremony remembering the 16th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks will be held at Sussex County Community College in Newton, NJ on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 9:00am at the College’s 9/11 Memorial on the Connor Green.
Residents and college students are invited to reflect upon the innocent lives of those that were killed; solemn tribute will be paid to those that heroically sacrificed their own lives to save thousands of others; and, all those that helped in the rescue and recovery efforts that followed the attacks will be remembered.
Local vocalists and bagpipers will perform.
