9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Sunset Ceremony – Wrightsville Beach, NC

A sunset ceremony to honor and remember the victims of 9/11 will take place at at Wrightsville Beach Park Amphitheater on Monday, September 11, 2017 at 5:30pm.
Melodie Homer, widow of LeRoy Homer, Jr., will speak at the event. LeRoy Homer was the first officer of United Flight 93. His widow now lives in Wilmington, NC.
Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach Police will attend along with firefighters from both municipalities and the Girls’ Choir of Wilmington will perform.
The event is open to the public. People attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Battery-operated candles will be provided.
