Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Sunset Candlelight Remembrance Ceremony – Nassau County, NY

At 6:30pm on Thursday, September 10, 2015, Nassau County will hold their annual sunset candlelight remembrance ceremony honoring the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The ceremony will include the reading of names of Nassau County residents murdered in the attacks read by family members.Firefighter Matthew Yellico, who retired from the FDNY’s Ladder 107 after a career that included months of service at the recovery effort at the World Trade Center, will bring a sapling from the World Trade Center Survivor Tree to the Park, courtesy of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
