The Springfield, Massachusetts 9/11 Memorial will be dedicated on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 7:00pm. Starting at 6:30pm, the ceremony can be livestreamed here.
The memorial will be blessed, colors will be posted and retired, a rifle salute, the singing of the National Anthem, and the reading of names of police officers, EMS personnel and firefighters killed in the terrorist attacks will make up the ceremony. Local dignitaries will attend.
The centerpiece of the memorial is a long, spot-lit beam from the World Trade Center. The lights cast shadows that resemble the twin towers of the World Trade Center, which was destroyed by terrorists on September 11, 2001.
