9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Start TV Network is showing two new documentaries to mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks – Remembering 9/11: Reflections from Those Forever Changed and My Start Story – Twenty Years Later: Reflections on 9/11. They will premiere on Sunday, September 5, 2021.
Remembering 9/11: Reflections from Those Forever Changed tells the story of American Flight 77 flight attendant Michele Heidenberger, who was killed on 9/11 when terrorists flew her plane into the Pentagon. Her son Thomas, who was 14 when his mother was killed, tells his story.
My Start Story – Twenty Years Later: Reflections on 9/11 profiles three New York City women – FDNY Captain Brenda Berkman; World Trade Center collapse survivor Genelle Guzman-McMillan; and Alex Bortz who lost her father in the World Trade Center.
