9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Run for Rick’s Place — Wilbraham, MA
April 30, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
The third annual Run for Rick’s Place will be held on Saturday April 30, 2022 at 9:00am at Minnechaug Regional High School in Wilbraham, MA. There is a 5-K run or a 1-mile walk, both of which begin at 9:00am. Anyone can participate virtually as well. The event will be held rain or shine.
Registration, shirt pick-up and bib pick-up all begin at 8:00am. The cost to run or walk is $30.00 for an adult and $15.00 for anyone aged 17 or under.
Funds raised support Rick’s Place, a bereavement center named in honor of Wilbraham native Eric “Rick” Thorpe, who was killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The mission of Rick’s Place is to offer youth and their parents/guardians free support as they cope with the death of a significant caregiver or sibling.
