Robert Curatolo Memorial Bowl-a-thon
October 12, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The eighth annual Robert Curatolo Bowl-a-thon will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019, from 12:00pm until 4:00pm at the Showplace Bowling Alley in Staten Island. The day includes bowling, food, beer, wine, and soda.
The fee to participate as a bowler or a viewer is $65.00 per adult and $40.00 per child aged 17 or under. Funds raised support the Robert Curatolo Scholarship Fund, which is awarded annually to a high school senior who plays baseball or softball (like Rob) and has a parent or guardian who is an NYPD police officer, firefighter or NY/NJ Port Authority police officer.
In addition, candidates must be students in good academic standing, have character and integrity. Each scholarship is $5,000. The funds are sent to the college bursar’s office in the name of the scholarship winner.
If you plan to attend, please let the organizers know here.
Robert Curatolo was an FDNY firefighter with Ladder 16. On September 11, 2001, he became one of the 343 firefighters killed in the World Trade Center terrorist attacks.
