Ringing of the Bell of Hope – New York, NY
September 11, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 9:00 am
The reverend of St. Paul’s Chapel will ring of the Bell of Hope at 8:46am on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, to mark the moment that American Airlines Flight 11 was flown into Tower 1 by hijackers seventeen years ago.
The city of London gave the Bell of Hope to New York for the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks. The Bell has rung on every anniversary since that time in honor of the 2,973 people murdered in the attacks.
The Bell of Hope is located in the graveyard between St. Paul’s Chapel and the World Trade Center.
